I am pleased to announce that Module 6: Multiple Regression, Further Issues is now available on Ceteris Lab.
This new module builds on the foundations developed in Modules 1 through 5 and helps learners move from basic regression estimation toward more refined and practical econometric analysis.
Module 6 explores important topics that frequently arise in real empirical work, including:
- Data scaling and units of measurement
- Standardized beta coefficients
- Logarithmic functional forms
- Exact percentage-effect calculations
- Quadratic models and turning points
- Interaction terms and variable centering
- R-squared and adjusted R-squared
- Model selection and over-controlling
- Prediction and prediction intervals
- Residual analysis
- Predicting outcomes from log models
- Bootstrap standard errors
The module combines theoretical explanations, mathematical formulas, visual examples, interactive learning activities, quizzes, datasets, and Python-based exercises. Students can examine how regression results change under different functional forms, calculate marginal effects, compare models, generate predictions, inspect residuals, and explore uncertainty through live coding activities.
Ceteris Lab is designed to make econometrics more practical, visual, and engaging by connecting economic reasoning, mathematical foundations, real and simulated data, and Python programming in one interactive learning environment.
Module 6 is suitable for students, educators, researchers, and professionals who want to deepen their understanding of applied multiple regression analysis.
