It was a pleasure to attend the 59th Annual Meeting of the Canadian Economics Association last weekend in Montreal, where my research titled was“The Rise of Digital Currencies and Their Impact on Canadian Monetary Policy.”
The paper explores how digital currencies—especially central bank digital currencies (CBDCs)—could reshape Canada’s monetary transmission mechanisms and influence financial stability in the years ahead.
I’m thankful to the organizers, fellow presenters, and participants. Conferences like these are a reminder of the importance of academic dialogue in shaping forward-looking economic policy.
Looking forward to continuing the conversation and collaboration.
